ExxonMobil Lubricator Certification Program

Maine Maritime Academy and ExxonMobil are pleased to extend this Lubricator Certification Program Invitation of continuing education on Equipment Lubrication. This Certification reinforces your technical training and knowledge related to lubrication, along with helping to acquire CEUs (Continuing Education Units).

This Program is offered to your Company on-site or at another central location that is convenient for attendees.

Who should attend: This Program benefits those Management and Technical Personnel responsible for Maintenance and Lubrication.

The Certification Program will consist of 6 training modules over a 60 day period. The schedule can be modified to meet the company's time requirements. ExxonMobil will administer all pre-tests and the final exam that are outlined in this presentation.

  1. Pre-work CBT: Pretests Computer and Written
  2. Fundamentals of Lubrication
  3. Bearings, Gears, Couplings
  4. Hydraulics and Grease
  5. Additives, Oil Sampling /Signum, Storage and Handling, Equipment Inspections, Integrated Services
  6. Review and Final Exam
    • Final Exam 100 questions: Multiple Choice and Short Answer
    • Trainee must answer 70% correctly to be Certified

**** With a passing final exam, each participant will receive Continuing Education Credits from Maine Maritime Academy and Certificate from ExxonMobil signed by the area Chief Engineer.*****

Able Bodied Seaman: This 40 hour course is designed to prepare the student to take the written and practical examinations for certification as an Able Bodied Seaman, and will include Deck Safety and Rules of the Road; Deck General and Navigation General; Survival; and Practical Seamanship components.

Proficiency in Survival Craft/Lifeboatman: This course is designed to prepare candidates to carry out effectively all the duties which may be required of a Lifeboatman, to include all operations connected with the launching of lifeboats, life rafts, and other survival craft; knowledge of oar commands; the identification of components used in lifeboats and other survival craft; and knowledge of the procedures used in the launching and recovery of a lifeboat from gravity davits.
