NOTE! THIS COURSE STARTS ON SUNDAY! Basic Safety Training (STCW) - This Coast Guard approved course is designed to qualify seafarers for certification as having met each of the four elements of basic safety training in accordance with the International Convention of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) for seafarers. This 40-hour course will train and assess skills of a seafarer in: Personal Survival Techniques (STCW A-V1-1); Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (STCW A-V1/1-2); Elementary First Aid (STCW A-V1/1-3); and Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (STCW A-V1/1-4).Students may select from one through four of the modules within the framework of the course schedule.
