This two and one half days (18 instructional hours) course provides the knowledge necessary to those who may be designated to perform the duties and responsibilities of a (Port) Facility Security Officer as required by the ISPS Code, SOLAS and MTSA, and in particular the duties and responsibilities with respect to the security of a port facility, for ensuring the development of a Facility Security Assessment, for ensuring the development, implementation, maintenance, and updating a (Port) Facility Security Plan and for coordinating with Vessel (Ship) Security Officers and with Company Security Officers. Those who successfully complete this course should be able to undertake the duties and responsibilities as (Port) Facility Security Officer and will receive the relevant USCG approved course certificate. M-PACT certificate.
